On Veterans Day

November 11, 2016

Pastor Gunnar Ledermann

“The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation. He is my stronghold, my refuge and my savior—from violent people you save me. I called to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and have been saved from my enemies.” 2 Samuel 22:2-4

Veterans Day.

Thank God for all the men and women who served our country in the armed forces.

You have helped to preserve our many freedoms and kept us safe in our homes. May God give you peace from the memories of war and strength in whatever work you pursue back home.

God is your place to find peace and your greatest source of strength. He has fought the war you could not and freed you from sin and death. He is your source of strength to fight against the daily assaults of stress and guilt.

The peace of God is to know his strength. His son bled and died to save you. Jesus rose from the dead and he promises to bring you back from the grave.

Thank you for serving your country and for serving me. God bless you.
